DESIGN OVER YOUR SHOULDER…..
The 2002 summer collection is made of
the following materials: the indomitable
Cordura and the swish suede, together
on one bag;
There are three models: small purse,
medium shoulder bag in suede, and a
big one, flat with long slender shoulder
straps.
The BAG is hand painted, each different
to the next.
The DESIGN is a big flower, bigger then
the bag itself.
The EFFECT when worn is light and seems
to float, we are hidden behind a design.
The FLOWER of Köbi Wiesendanger,
the creative designer of Avant de Dormir.
The NAME of the collection is SPRAY.
The colours; black and white, white
and black, red and black.
And then white and green, yellow and
white. And blue.

The
collection has two subjects, the dog
and the cat, that is the head of a basset
hound and of a kitty with their tails,
applied in an optical illusion that
makes them seem inside the bag ready
to pop out with their noses ready to
look around.
The fabric is the excellent Dupont Cordura,
a real guarantee.
Stain proof, tough and waterproof. A
fabric that wears up to the city and
every type of shopping.
There are two Cordura models; the first
is a discreet but capacious shoulder
bag and a round baguette shaped one.
The colours are those that follow the
trend.
The dogs and cats are ready for a walk
and ready to be looked at.

…IT'S SO TENDER, SO SWEET…
Made of woollen cloth, tight and almost
rigid, red and black for the bucket.
And there is also a multipurpose drawer
that takes books and glasses when put
on our bed side table.
It is really too sweet. Ready to be
seen and touched. The animals are in
leopard and dalmatian synthetic fur.

The
material for the bags is technical, sober and
practical.
It is made of nylon, a vague word for those not
in the sector.
Nylon is incredibly practical and is used for
the basic line, all the bags and sacks for travel,
rain and sport.
To rough around without a second thought, like
tango.

Great chic objects in this story about coloured
organza, covered in flowers, grass, frogs and
rose petals. It is also a collection of objects
in organza that live independent to the seasons,
creating a scene, fun and yet refined.
The dimensions of the bag-objects go from very
small (8 x 7 cm), to the big beach bag.
The colours are orange sky-blue green pink cream
and red.
And of course black.
To each of these objects a colour has been assigned
depending on its theme.

HERBES…
The choice of fabric for this collection is stone
washed felt.
A beautiful example of real pure wool, from an
artisans hand, that has smooth colours deriving
from many dyes and washes.
Avant de Dormir loved it straight away and took
it on.
It was a real game to cut it out, give it shapes
that remind you of the landscape:
herbs that become wool, coloured flowers that
grow from the bag that is lovely to see and touch..
And then bracelets, pins, earrings and necklaces.
And it is the beginning of a collection that I
believe we won't easily leave.
